The news broke after her nephew Bryan shared a video on her Instagram — and for a moment, it felt like the whole world stopped.

Dolly wasn’t just a country music singer. She was an actress, philanthropist, author, musician and, above all, a trailblazer — especially for women in the music industry.

Ask almost any female country artist who their biggest influence is, and chances are, Dolly’s name will come up. Her songwriting, her unmistakable fashion, her larger-than-life personality and, most importantly, the way she looked at the world made her an inspiration to generations of women who followed in her footsteps.

But you didn’t have to know Dolly personally to feel her impact. Her presence could reach you from a thousand miles away.

The tributes have already begun pouring in from across the country music community, with artists including longtime friend Reba McEntire, Brad Paisley, Ella Langley and countless others remembering the woman who meant so much to the industry and to them personally.

Fans have also been gathering in outside Dolly’s hotel in Nashville, Tennessee to honour the legend, leaving flowers, taking photos and paying their respect.

While her passing came as a shock, Dolly had been open with her fans about ongoing health struggles in recent years. Her husband, Carl Thomas Dean, of nearly 60 years, died in March 2025. The two were deeply in love, and Dolly spoke openly about the heartbreak of losing him and how it left a hole in her heart.

There’s something bittersweet about knowing that, after all these years, they are together again. In the midst of such a heartbreaking loss, I think there’s something beautiful about that love story.

Today is a sad day not just for country music, but for the entire world.

We lost someone whose light burned so brightly that it reached millions of people — and there will never be another Dolly Parton.

But I also don’t think Dolly would want us to sit in sadness for too long. She would want us to keep our chins up, smile a little bigger and be a little kinder.

She lived an extraordinary life. And for whatever amount of time we were lucky enough to have her here, we got to share this world with Dolly Parton. So maybe the best way to honour her isn’t just to remember her — it’s to try to be a little more like her.

Because the world could always use a little more Dolly.

As you’d expect from a Nashville finale, the shows were packed with some major country star power.

On night one, Dan + Shay joined Megan onstage to perform their iconic hit “Tequila. Then, on night two, Lady A came out for “Need You Now,” followed by Megan’s friend and collaborator Kenny Chesney, who joined her for their song “You Had to Be There.”

But the biggest moment may have been a little more personal. Megan took a moment to reflect on how she used to sit in those very same seats watching concerts — and even Nashville Predators games. Now, she was the one standing onstage in front of a sold-out crowd. Talk about an “I made it” moment.

Megan has truly become a superstar. Her career skyrocketed following the release of “Tennessee Orange” in 2023, and she’s showing no signs of slowing down! You might also see her nominated for ‘Entertainer of The Year’ at the CMA Awards this year!

And now, she’s taking Cloud 9 overseas as she gears up to continue the tour internationally.

The country superstar shared a new snippet of an unreleased song on his social media, this time stripping it back with a piano-driven version. Alongside the clip, he wrote:

“Maybe I’ll release this one before the boats get winterized this time.”

Now we’ve actually heard this song for a while now, but in a different style. Wallen previously teased a fuller version on social media, first giving us a taste of the track with a more produced sound.

With Wallen continuing to tease the song, we’re already wondering if a surprise release could be coming as soon as this Friday.. Hey nothing has been confirmed, but the timing certainly have us hoping!

He celebrated the special moment surrounded by his family, cheering fans, and close friend Jordan Davis.

While Jordan wasn’t receiving a star himself, he was there to celebrate Thomas and share just how much he admires him, reflecting on when they first met.

“The first time I ever met Thomas, the first show I ever got to see, was in Baton Rouge, Louisiana at the Bayou Country Superfest in 2016. Now, I am an avid LSU fan and I wouldn’t say that it was ideal for me to see a very proud Georgia Bulldog go take over Tiger Stadium for an hour, but that’s exactly what Thomas did. And I left that day knowing that Thomas was going to be doing this for a very, very long time. And it’s not surprising at all that we’re here celebrating a star on what has already been an amazing career for Thomas.”

Jordan also praised Thomas’ character, sharing a story that happened after a sold-out show.

“The same person that will play a sold-out show in Saskatoon for two hours, walk off stage and then walk into the green room of one of the opening acts on that tour and sit for another two hours and answer questions and give advice about writing and touring, managing a family and being gone as much as we are. And he didn’t have to do that. He could have easily played that show, walked on his bus, took off for the next city, but that’s not who Thomas Rhett is. Instead, he sat in that green room with me, talked to me for two hours and I left that room with a lot more than advice in the music business.”

He went on to say that, despite Thomas’ success, fame has never defined him.

“The coolest thing is that in a world where fame can easily become somebody’s identity, Thomas has never let that define him. Instead, he stayed grounded in the things that matter most to him, which is his faith, his family, his friendships and his deep love for country music.”

Jordan continued:

“Now you’ll be hard-pressed to find another artist out there that works as hard or pursues excellence in everything that he does more than Thomas Rhett. With that being said, the thing I think I most admire about him is how he measures success totally different than most people. We’re all here to celebrate the star that Thomas Rhett obviously is, but if you’ve spent any time around him, you know that TR’s pride is not found in a writing room or on a stage. His pride is found at home with his five beautiful kids and his lovely wife, Lauren.”

The Blame It On My Roots Tour kicks off August 21 and 22 at Gainbridge Fieldhouse in Indianapolis, marking Brooks’ first major tour since his record-breaking stadium run from 2018 to 2022.

One of the biggest highlights? Every ticket in the arena will cost the same price—no matter where you sit. Every. Single. Seat.

The tour will also bring back Brooks’ legendary Drum Pod, the iconic concert centerpiece that became a fan favorite during his shows in the 1990s! He even teased its return in this video..

According to the tour announcement, there will be no presales. All tickets will go on sale at the same time, with a purchase limit of eight tickets per customer.

Brooks will also record performances throughout the tour for Killer Live, a new live recording project that continues his tradition of capturing the energy of his concerts in real time.

The night featured special appearances from Carrie Underwood, Riley Green, Luke Combs, Eric Church, Luke Bryan, Miranda Lambert, Lainey Wilson, and more, including Jackson’s longtime friend, George Strait, as they celebrated his legendary career by performing some of his biggest hits.

Throughout the evening, video tributes from artists and friends who couldn’t attend highlighted the lasting impact Jackson has had on country music. When he finally took the stage, he was welcomed by thunderous cheers from the crowd. And when he left, tears.
